This year’s Mother’s Day was nothing short of magical as I spent the day with my queen of the heart — my beloved mummy — celebrating her unconditional love at Royale Chulan Seremban’s Mother’s Day Hi-Tea.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Chef Suresh, The Exec Chef and his team did a fantastic job with the food spread and service as they greeted us and The coffee house was dressed beautifully for the occasion, with soft lighting, elegant table settings, and a gentle buzz of families chatting and laughing, creating a calm yet lively ambiance that instantly put everyone in a celebratory mood.

We started our afternoon with the salad bar — and it quickly became my personal favourite! Crisp, fresh greens, an array of toppings, and a variety of dressings made for endless delicious combinations. I built two plates full of vibrant, crunchy salads, and still wanted more.

Then came the hearty selections:
- Creamy mushroom soup, perfectly seasoned and paired with warm bread rolls.
- Salmon salad, fresh and refreshing, with tender slices of salmon and bright bursts of citrus.
- Pasta, cooked al dente and tossed in rich, flavorful sauces that comforted the soul.

- Lasagna, layered with cheese and savory meat sauce, baked to golden perfection.

- Sambal udang petai, a bold dish packed with the punchy flavours of spicy prawns and the unmistakable aroma of petai beans.

- Lamb curry, slow-cooked to tender excellence, with a depth of spices that lingered wonderfully on the palate.

For traditional Malaysian bites, they offered seri muka, a soft, rich pandan-flavored dessert with a glutinous rice base, and crispy pisang goreng (fried banana), hot and sweet — a nostalgic delight.

At the dessert station, we built our own bowls of ABC (Ais Batu Campur), a mountain of shaved ice drizzled with syrup, evaporated milk, and loaded with red beans, jelly, and sweet corn — the perfect ending to a rich meal. A wide selection of cakes and pastries lined the counters, each more tempting than the last.

Of course, what’s a perfect afternoon without coffee? I treated myself to two cups of cappuccino — foamy, strong, aromatic — and a latte that was creamy and comforting. By the third cup, I was buzzing with energy (and happiness)!

Adding even more fun to the event was the batik decorating contest — a wonderful interactive touch that had both adults and children laughing, focusing, and competing with cheerful spirit. It brought a vibrant, creative energy to the room.

The service at Royale Chulan truly deserves high praise. A standout among the staff was Ms. Stephanie, who made our experience extraordinary. She was ever-smiling, attentive to every little need, and carried herself with a professionalism and warmth that genuinely impressed us. It’s rare to see someone so hardworking and yet so gracious — she was a big part of what made the day so memorable.

Throughout the afternoon, we lived through a rainbow of emotions — mummy nagged (as mothers do), we exchanged jokes, reminisced, shared dreams, teased one another, argued a little (inevitable, but funny in retrospect), and laughed until we shed tears of happiness. It was a beautiful, real, heartfelt experience that no fancy gift could ever replace.

Final Thoughts
Royale Chulan, Seremban Mother’s Day Hi-Tea wasn’t just an event — it was a heartfelt experience. The luxurious spread, cozy ambiance, fun activities, outstanding service, and most importantly, the chance to slow down and truly be present with my mum made it a day I’ll treasure forever.
I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to create unforgettable moments with their loved ones.
Thank you, Royale Chulan, for making Mother’s Day 2025 a memory stitched forever into my heart.
