On the morning of 21st June, Saturday, the grounds of Visitation Church were filled with a vibrant mix of color, rhythm, and energy. We painted the town RED! People of all ages, races, and religions came together with a shared purpose β to raise funds for the church building through the powerful, joyful medium of Zumba.

The event began promptly at 8:30 AM, under the warm morning sun, with a brief but inspiring welcome by Madam Elizabeth Chong from the Ministry of the Poor. Her words reminded us why we were gathered β not just for fitness or fun, but to give back to a spiritual home that has served the community for generations.

After a short round of group photos, the atmosphere quickly shifted from formal to festive as the stage was taken over by none other than Christine Wong, lead instructor and the powerhouse behind the Zumba Kids from PRO A3 Fitness, Arielle, Alexandra, Hanshika, Shree and Keshshini. These young stars lit up the stage with contagious energy, their movements full of life and confidence. Parents, granparents, spectators, and even the more hesitant dancers in the crowd couldnβt help but smile and sway to the beat.

Once the kids wrapped up their high-energy set, it was time for the young at heart to take over! The Terrific Trio Zin Christine Wong, Ms. Hema and Ms. Debbie led the Zumba Gold session, proving that age is no barrier when it comes to fun and fitness. The choreography was thoughtfully tailored for older participants, but that didnβt mean it was low energy β quite the opposite! Their playlist had the crowd clapping, laughing, and moving together in perfect harmony.

A highlight of the morning came when the entire crowd joined in to dance the universally loved βYMCAβ. The iconic arm movements drew loud cheers and laughter, bridging generations on the dance floor. Just when we thought the energy couldnβt go any higher, the unmistakable twang of βAchy Breaky Heartβ played β and out came Zin Christine and Zin Porsha to lead the grand finale. Together, they turned the entire crowd into a sea of synchronized steps and smiling faces.

The Zumba session officially concluded at 9:50 AM, but the morning was far from over. Fr. Xavier and Fr. Albet joined us shortly after, mingling with participants, taking photos, and sharing heartfelt words of gratitude for everyoneβs support and presence. Their warmth and presence truly brought the community spirit full circle.

Meanwhile, everyone was treated to refreshments and drinks β much needed after 75 minutes of non-stop dancing! We were also thankful to have Clinic Munir from Sendayan on standby for medical assistance, ensuring that the event was safe and inclusive for all.

By 10:30 AM, as the crowd began to disperse, there was a lingering feeling of joy, fulfillment, and community. Hugs were shared, photos were snapped, and goodbyes were exchanged with promises to reunite again.
