Last week, I immersed myself in something that has reignited my passion for learning and deepened my love for the world of fitness and nutrition. I attended a 3-day Exercise Nutrition course led by the dynamic and incredibly knowledgeable Edutrainer Ee-Ling Yeoh, and I can honestly say—it was one of the most energizing and inspiring experiences I’ve had in a long time.

The Crew: A Powerhouse of Minds

We were a group of 12 participants, and let me tell you, this wasn’t your typical classroom crowd. Each person came from a unique background, bringing their own expertise and stories to the table.

There were experienced personal trainers, some of whom work closely with doctors and physiotherapists, and even one who specializes in spinal and backbone rehabilitation. One of the standout attendees was the wife of a personal trainer, who also happens to be into boxing—a petite, powerful woman with fierce intelligence and quick wit. Every break was like a mini-masterclass in itself, with deep conversations about client challenges, training protocols, and real-life case studies. I was constantly jotting down notes, not just from the lectures, but from the people around me.

It felt like being in a room full of motivated minds who live and breathe fitness, just like I do. No egos, just curiosity, mutual respect, and passion for learning.
Our Trio of Energy & Laughter
Among the 12, we were the only three women, and from day one, we connected instantly, we called ourselves the “PowerPuff girls” but in reality more to the “PUFF” girls laa….Eunice, Olive and Christine! It was like the universe placed us there to find one another. We clicked like magnets—supporting, laughing, and learning together.

While we were fully engaged in the coursework, let’s be real—the highlight of our day often during lunch hour break when we’d go food hunting around the area. From protein-packed meals to cheeky desserts, our little adventures became rituals. And how could I forget their shared obsession with macha tea? It became their trusted ally to stay sharp and energized, especially during those intense afternoon theory sessions.

The Course: Nutritional Deep Dive
Ee-Ling’s teaching style was nothing short of engaging. She has this unique way of simplifying complex nutrition science and connecting it to real-world application. Whether we were diving into macronutrient timing, gut health, hormonal impact on training, or client case studies, not a single topic felt dry or irrelevant.
She challenged our thinking, busted common myths, and pushed us to think about how nutrition isn’t just about fat loss or muscle gain—it’s about sustainable, performance-driven health. I left every day feeling like my toolbox had doubled, and I couldn’t wait to apply it all with my clients.

There was something so invigorating about being surrounded by people who genuinely wanted to learn—not just to get certified—but to become better coaches, educators, and humans.
What I Took Away (Beyond the Notes)
By the end of the 3 days, I had pages full of notes, a mind full of ideas, and a heart full of gratitude. But more than that, I walked away with:
- New friendships that feel like they’ll last far beyond the classroom.
- A renewed sense of purpose in my own fitness coaching journey.
- Fresh perspectives on how I can better help women navigating hormonal changes, fat loss, and muscle preservation—especially with the unique challenges we face.

And let’s be honest, I also left with a slightly elevated matcha addiction. But hey—brain fuel, right?
Final Thoughts
This course reminded me that learning never stops—and that surrounding yourself with the right people can elevate you in ways you didn’t even expect. If you’re in the fitness or wellness industry and ever get a chance to learn from Ee-Ling Yeoh, do it. It’s more than a course—it’s an experience.

To my fellow coursemates: thank you for your insights, your humor, and your company. To the two amazing women I bonded with: you made the experience 10x more fun, and I’m so grateful for our laughs, deep talks, and food quests.

Here’s to more growth, more gains, and more matcha. 💚
