Next, is the comforting braised assorted Dried Seafood with Crab Meat Soup is served, representing harmony, nourishment, and unity. Its comforting warmth symbolises smooth relationships and a peaceful year filled with togetherness.
The celebration continues with Deep-Fried Chicken with Chef’s Special Sauce, symbolising happiness, family unity, and completeness — a wish for joy and togetherness throughout the year.
At the centre of the table is Steamed Tiger Grouper, a classic Chinese New Year essential. Fish symbolises abundance (年年有余), and its delicate preparation represents purity, prosperity, and a surplus of good fortune year after year.
Adding richness and vitality to the meal is Wok-Fried Prawns with Butter Oat and Corn. Prawns symbolise laughter and happiness, while corn represents growth and prosperity, bringing wishes of joy and success.
The wholesome Bean curd Flower with Mushroom, Abalone, and Broccoli carries deep auspicious meaning — abalone symbolises wealth and abundance, mushrooms represent longevity, and broccoli signifies growth and prosperity, creating a harmonious balance of blessings.
To complete the savoury courses, Steamed Glutinous Rice is served, symbolising unity, closeness, and strong family bonds — a reminder that togetherness is the heart of the New Year.
