A press conference was held on the 23 October 2018 at the Royale Chulan Hotel Seremban to launch the ‘Lions Strides Diabetes Awareness Walk and Sport Stacking Challenge’ in conjunction of the Diabetes Awareness month, which will be held on the 4th November, Sunday at 7.00 a.m, starting point and ending point will be at the Royale Chulan Hotel Seremban with the fee of only RM10.00 and a distance of 2.1 KM.
Mr Leo Kuscher, the General Manager, Royale Chulan Hotel Seremban, in his speech, said that his philosophy in life is simple, ‘health is wealth’! Therefore, aside from a set of freebies, T-shirt and goodie bags, a participant normally collects, Mr Leo Kuscher added, another wonderful and positive aspect of this walk organised by the Lions Club of Seremban Central is that it’s organised for a certain cause, in particular to create awareness and unite the public to show their support in living a healthy lifestyle! Ms Elynn Chua and Mr Jackie Goh also highlighted that during the event day, which will be held on the 4th November 2018, Columbia Hospital Seremban will also be collaborating in this event, they will provide health services such as free glucose test, blood test, medical consultation and many more activities at the concourse area of Royale Chulan Hotel Seremban. There will also be a Diabetes Awareness Talk during the event day. It is going to be a blast! A fun game sport stacking counter will also be provided for the public. In case, for those who are wondering what is sport stacking, allow me to enlighten you, it is also known as cup stacking or speed stacking, is an individual and team sport that involves stacking 9 or 12 specially designed cups in pre-determined sequences as fast as you can. Sport stacking is a fitness based sport that kids from all backgrounds and abilities can do. For the athlete and non-athlete alike! The sport stacking challenge will be held for the very first time in Negeri Sembilan!
